🛑 ATTN: Creatives! Get 20+ years of my industry experience, expertise, & best advice on how to design a career you LOVE without sacrificing your health, relationships, or sanity: optimizeyourself.me/newsletter/
Ep 259: Overcoming Communication Fears for Introverted Creatives | with Bridget Sampson
My guest today is Bridget Sampson who is an author, leadership coach, and the founder and CEO of Sampson Coaching and Consulting. She is also a professional public speaker at TEDx and has written a book entitled, Communication Secrets for Success.
Now, before you dismiss this episode as something that’s ‘not for you’ because you’re introverted like me, I want you to understand that effective communication is essential for building relationships and expanding your network. In our conversation, Bridget and I explore how the fear of putting yourself out there is not only experienced by introverts like us but by everyone. Bridget even shares her own journey from being traumatized and terrified by early public speaking experiences to becoming a confident communicator. Bridget and I break down the mindsets needed to overcome that fear. More importantly, she reveals the process of crafting a thoughtful, meaningful message to share with the world.
If you find yourself struggling to communicate effectively to build relationships, I highly recommend listening to my conversation with Bridget. The insights she offers are incredibly valuable for developing your communication skills and achieving success.

    Hey Zack, I saw the videos on your channel. Your video content is excellent. To grow & increase the view of your channel you need to optimize your videos. Inspite all of your efforts videos are not being viewed. Video SEO Score is very low. The title, Description, and Tags are not SEO-friendly. Videos are not shared on Social Media platforms and many other problems are found on your UA-cam Channel. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO friendly then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. So immediately need SEO for your Videos & UA-cam channel. Do you want to improve those problems and grow your UA-cam Channel?

    I've participated in 2 online classes with Christina, and what I love about her is how when she talks about grief and her stories, it still almost takes her breath away. This is what my grief stories do to me, and I am also so drawn to grief and loss and assisting people to move into these experiences. Thank you❤

    I like Tutus for the exact reasons you pointed out. I married into a family, and had a 'disabled' step daughter. 10 years old, non verbal, semi ambulatory with a belt or a hand. First time I had to take her to bedroom by myself from the downstairs livingroom, I helped her up, guided her to the stairs, and she just stared at me and whined. I put her hand on the rail, took her other hand, we walked up the stairs, and she went to bed. I was asked later, by her mother, if my back hurt from carrying her up the stairs. I told her what we did. No one knew she could do that until an idiot (me) didn't know any better and allowed her to try.

    I think this is one of the best interviews I have seen so far. The questions and the answers were excellent, because they were "human and honest". Last time I saw William Zabka was back in the 80 when I was a kid and I am happy to hear his story told by himself. I am looking forward to see his shortmovie "Most" and all the projects were he is gonna be part in the future. Thanks again to both of you for your words.

    Zak your totally simping to Billy. Oh I do and think the same as you and I teach that very same thing I'm exactly like you ya deya. STOP IT ! Its cringe worthy. Billy is great at what he does and there are alot more layers and talent to Billy than I was expecting. You too obviously have talents or you wouldn't be where you are. But to respect someone is great but to SIMP is abit shamefully. And embarrassing. Kinda in comparison to having Bills pics all over your walls and having a scrapbook 😂 be a fan by all means but don't gush which is what your kinda doing man. Kudos to Billy seems a great guy and you too have alot going on. Just cut out the simping to others 😁👍

    I just met William Zabka last week while he was on set filming Cobra Kai Season 6 in Atlanta. He saw me, my wife, and 11 yr old daughter from across the parking lot and came right over without hesitation to say hello. Nicest guy on the planet! He said "wanna get some photos together?" He then said "give me your phone" and started taking selfies of all us using my phone! My daughter and I will forever cherish this moment! Thanks Billy!

    Interesting conversation. I’m coming off the interview you did with Chris Vogler. Kristine’s life story fits the description of the spirals of life (story arcs) Chris was talking about. He hanging out in a bar and deciding to talk to her would be husband is that Star Wars scene in the bar stepping off into the big adventure.

      Nope. UA-cam’s algorithm just never did give us the love since we switched from cross-posting our audio podcast to doing real videos. We will probably have to create a new channel.

  • @JonnyMopar
    @JonnyMopar 8 місяців тому

    Wow! I watched the video then subbed and that’s when I noticed how few views this video has and how small your channel is. I feel privileged to be someone who discovered you early in your journey (despite this video was from 7 Mo the ago). I have no doubt someday the algorithm will pick you up and deliver you to the masses and you will become one of the great gurus. Great job on the interview and good luck. BTW, perhaps something to consider is there’s an untapped (huge) audience that could benefit from your content, UA-camrs. That’s me. My channel sucks. I know the missing ingredient is story, hence how I found you. It’s a challenge for me because my background is not heavy in books, screenwriting or movies etc. Anyway, I wish you luck and when you get so big someday and you don’t have the time to respond to all the comments remember I was one of the little guys early on who enjoyed the discussion you had here.
